Your Automated Car Detail Salesmen – Using an AutoResponder to Close Sales
Would you like to have your own salesforce? Somone that promotes your business around the clock? An autoresponder is a computer program that regularly communicates with your customers and sales prospects via email. If you own a car detail, boat detail or RV detail business you should consider implementing an auto responder into your sales plan.
Here are the steps we will talk about in this article:
1) Types of Autoresponders
2) Develop your message
3) Driving sales
Types of Autoresponders for Car Detailers
The first step in the process is picking the type of autoresponder you would like to use. There are three options for how the program will operate. It can be installed on your desktop computer, on your website server or it can be a 3rd party service. My suggestion is to use a program that is either on your computer or website server. This will allow you complete control over the management of your list. Additionally over the long run you will more then likely save money over a 3rd party monthly service. The downside to running your own autoresponder is that it requires a small amount of technical knowledge.
You will be developing a mailing list in two ways. One is to upload existing customers that you may have on file. The other is to generate a form code to be used on your website. Many autoresponder programs provide automatically generate the HTML code for you. This allows someone to signup for your email newsletter directly from the website.
Developing the Auto Detailing Message
The main benefit of an Autoresponder is that you can send preset messages at regular increments from the subscriber’s signup date. That means that each new person who signs up will always receive Message 1, then 2 days later Message 2, regardless of what date they subscribe.
For now develop 5 messages that will smoothly and softly highlight the benefits of your company. Possible message topics along these lines include:
1) How regular detailing extends the life of your paint
2) Easy car care tips to keep your engine running longer
3) How a tinted window can keep interior fabrics and material like new longer
4) Tips for removing stains and spills on the interior of the car
5) Dent repair can prevent rust
6) How to save on gas mileage
Using an Auto Responder to Close Car Detail Sales
The best use of your auto responder in my opinion is to focus on a core message and use this platform to regularly emphasize this message to your target audience. For example if you work with luxury cars you might develop 5 messages that cater to luxury car owners. Each message would be informative and offer the reader something of value. Additionally with each message tie in your business as it relates to the message and the needs of the luxury car owner.
